Welcome! We're seriously so excited to have you! Your first time at any studio can be scary, but don't worry - we don't bite!
Some things you can do to come prepared are:
1. Make sure you have a water bottle - this is essential!
2. Get to the studio at least 20 min early so you have plenty of time to check in and get the grand tour
3. Make sure to tell the front desk it's your first time so they can notify the instructor for bike and reformer set-up
4. Come with an open mind - you might surprise yourself with how strong and capable you really are!
Think of it as a super fun dance party on a bike. It's a high-energy, full-body workout, but don't worry, it's totally adaptable to your fitness level. You're in control of your own resistance, so you can dial it up or down depending on how you're feeling. The best part? It's all about having a blast, pushing yourself, and getting lost in the music.
Comfort is key! Wear clothes you feel good moving in - leggings , shorts, etc. We have cycling shoes in studio for rent, but you are also welcome to bring your own (we accommodate Look Delta and SPD cleats). Definitely bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and a small towel is always handy (we have these in studio too). For pilates, we require grip socks in all classes - please feel free to bring your own or purchase a pair prior to class in studio.
Please don't be! Our classes are designed for everyone, from first-timers to seasoned spinners. Seriously! Just focus on your own pace and listen to your body. There's absolutely zero pressure to keep up with anyone else. We're all in this together, and the most important thing is that you enjoy the class and do what feels good for you.
We totally get it – the reformer can look a little intimidating at first! But honestly, it's a fantastic piece of equipment that makes Pilates accessible and fun for everyone. Our instructors are experts at guiding you through each exercise, making sure your form is amazing.
Absolutely! Reformer Pilates can actually be fantastic for injury recovery and rehab. Just be sure to let your instructor know about your injury before class so they can modify exercises to suit your needs. Sometimes, private sessions are a great way to start if you have specific concerns.
We understand that life happens! We just ask that you cancel at least 12 hours before class to avoid a late cancellation fee. This allows someone else to enjoy your spot!
We totally understand that things come up. While we always recommend completing the full class for the best results, we also know that sometimes you need to jet. Just let your instructor know discreetly, position yourself on an outside bike or reformer close to the door, and no worries at all!
